TRUCKFEST - 7th April & 29th September

After the success of last year's event, we have 2 dates for you this year with 2 classes to choose from at each event, Stock or Club. This is a trophy meeting with TruckFest medals for all Junior entries. There will also be a BBQ and Prize Draw to raise money for the clubs track repair fund. 

Timed practice will be available on the Saturday from 13.00 to 17.00. Please ask for details if you wish to camp overnight.  

Spring Event - Sunday 7th April

Stock Tamiya Truck Rules

This class is for running Tamiya TT-01E trucks as close to out of the box as possible, but we feel the following upgrades are beneficial and should be allowed.

Ball Bearing kit

19T Steel Drive Pinion

Motor – Standard Torque Tuned motor must be used

Motor wires from ESC may be soldered direct to motor

Speedo (ESC) - Can either be the kit Tamiya one or the Hobbywing 1060

ESC connectors may be changed to suit battery used

Batteries – Can either be 7.2v NiMH Stick Pack or 7.4v (2S)Hardcase Lipo (Max 8000mah)

Only Tamiya Original bodyshells may be used

Only Original Truck wheels and tyres allowed, but inserts may be used

The use of any type of traction compound and or tyre warmers are prohibited in all Tamiya Truck Classes

Non-kit hardware including screws, servo saver/horn may be used. Differentials must not be locked - When either wheel is rotated by hand, the opposite wheel must rotate freely in the opposite direction.

Minimum Weight for all Trucks 1500g

No home-made hop-ups or modifications. With the exception of removing a small amount of the chassis webs to fit rectangular Lipo packs. Top deck can be removed or cut down

Everything else must be as the kit comes out of the box 

Club Tamiya Truck Rules

This class is again for Tamiya TT-01E trucks the rules are the same as the STOCK CLASS with the following extra changes being allowed:

Motor – Core RC 21 motor or Standard Torque Tuned motor can be used

Oil Filled Shocks

Alloy Centre Prop Shaft & Drive Cups

Alloy motor mount

Adjustable Turnbuckle Kit

Tamiya, Montech & Bittydesign Shells are allowed

Any M-chassis Wheels with kit tyres and inserts

Or

Ride Pre-glued Cut Slick Tyres 24mm

On race day gates will open at 8.00 with open practice and booking in from 8.30 to 9.30

After a drivers briefing there will be 3 heats and 3 finals for all drivers.

Martin Reeder will also run alone in ‘Demonstration class’ which will be attempting to complete 17 laps with a club spec truck. No Marshalling required for Demo class.

Followed by trophy presentations and prize draw.
